לכאורה, אלו דברים שאני אמורה בתקופה זו של חשבון הנפש בחודש אלול לרצות לשפר. כביכול אלו תכונות שנדמה שאפשר לשפר בהם עד בלי גבול אבל השבוע הבנתי שחייבים להציב גם כאן גבולות מאוד ברורים.
הגעתי לישיבת ועדת בטיחות בדרכים בעירייה שבה אני חברה על מנת לשמוע ולדון בעיקר על היערכות העירייה מהצד של בטיחות בדרכים לתחילת שנת הלימודים. לא אלאה אתכם, נעשים דברים מאוד יפים. אבל הייתה שם שורה שקוממה אותי ביותר
כאשר ניתן דיווח על מסיבות יום שישי בצהריים שהעירייה מארגנת לצעירים ואיך שמסבירים להם שאם שותים לא נוהגים ושאפילו דואגים להם להסעה  שלוקחת את אלה השפוכים ביותר לבית, הכל על מנת לשמור על בטיחותם.
סליחה!!! למה אני צריכה לדאוג לצעירים שיכורים? למה אני צריכה לקחת את שיכרותם כמובן מאליו ורק להסתפק בלבקש מהם יפה שאם זה לא קשה להם שלא ינהגו בזמן שהם מסטולים.
אותו סיפור עם הסלוגן של "אם שותים לא נוהגים", בעיני אם אתה שותה, כל אחד וההנאות שלו! תתכבד ותקיא את נשמתך ותתבוסס בקיאך בביתך. אני לא צריכה להתחבב על הצעירים חלושי האופי השתיינים. בטח שלא להתחשב בהם ולא להיות קשובה לצרכיהם. קשה לכם ילדים? המציאות מעט מסובכת עבורכם? תתמודדו! אני לא מוכנה לשתף פעולה עם ההרס העצמי, החברתי והציבורי שאתם מעוללים. ההבנה המוגזמת וחוסר הצבת הגבולות, גוררת אצל הנוער דווקא בלבול גדול יותר ולא מאפשרת להם לבטוח ביכולתם להתמודד עם קשיים.
